The initial idea is to spark the society of sharing. This is how my campaign “The Giver Short Film Contest” began. The contest campaign season 1 came from the inspiration to share true stories. All short films can be relevant to the concepts of everyday living or interesting views you have seen online. I admired all the short films submitted during the campaign, as those films serves a purpose to delivered value of giving to people. At first, intended to start from a small group who have the same mutual objective: to give good things back to our society. Please take the time to watch the three short movies that won the award of The Giver Short Film here.
First Winner : Nirun
If you are fond of cartoons. You should like this movie. This is a short film that was inspired by Natoi Senbei, a well famous Thai Cartoon voice actor who took over 40 years to prove wrong, the criticism of how children that grow up with too much cartoons will be lead astray.
First runner up: Make merit
The issue of merit making is interesting. This started with a girl who spend her day offering food to the monks to dedicate blessing to her late father. As she questions all merit making for good karma, she found that the person who was happiest with her action of merit making, was her.
Second Runner-Up: The Voice of the Runner
Directed by Narong Se Prakob.
There is no need to have a good life, before you start thinking about giving and sharing. That’s what I thought when I saw this story. Visual impairment may be an obstacle, but it does not stop the key person in the film from working for charity.
There are more than 200 short films that I believe will inspire you.
